This policy explains how WearTube handles information when you use the WearTube app and this website.
Information stored on your device
WearTube stores your liked videos, followed channels, recent searches, viewing history, app settings, playback allowance, and subscription status locally on your device. This information is used to provide the app's features and is not used for advertising.
Network requests
To search for and browse content, WearTube sends requests to WearTube's backend and third-party catalog and discovery providers. Requests may include search terms, video, channel, or playlist identifiers, a country preference, your IP address, and standard network information. WearTube's backend also processes video identifiers and protocol response data needed to locate a compatible stream.
During playback, the app requests media from the applicable video or media provider or its content-delivery network. The provider may receive the requested media identifier, your IP address, device and network information, and request headers. Media is not hosted, proxied, or permanently stored by WearTube's backend. The app and operating system may hold transient network buffers needed for streaming, but WearTube does not expose them as downloadable or offline media files. Third-party services process information under their own privacy policies.
Security and purchases
WearTube uses Apple's App Attest to help verify genuine app installations. Integrity proofs and related technical identifiers may be processed by Apple and WearTube's backend for security and abuse prevention. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple and reported to RevenueCat for purchase validation, revenue analytics, and subscription lifecycle notifications. RevenueCat may receive a pseudonymous app user identifier, purchase and subscription details, and app or device technical information. WearTube and RevenueCat do not receive your full payment details.
Analytics, advertising, and sales
WearTube does not include advertising or general-purpose behavioral analytics. RevenueCat provides purchase and subscription analytics as described above. We do not sell your personal information.
Website hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel. Vercel may process basic technical information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to operate and secure the site.
Retention and deletion
Information stored by the app remains on your device until you remove it using available app controls or delete the app. Operational and security records may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary to provide and protect the service. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when WearTube's features or practices change. The effective date above will show when the latest version took effect.
